.NET Core is an open source cross platform framework. It is the successor to .NET Framework. Version 3.0 of .NET Core was released in September 2019. Wizard code has experience working with .NET Core since it’s earliest versions. .NET Core is the future of the .NET platform, so for many scenarios it makes sense building greenfield web applications using this platform going forward.
Our focus is on using ASP.NET Core for building modern cloud based, internet connected applications. ASP.NET Core provides the following benefits:
- A unified approach to building web UI’s and web APIs.
- Built for testability.
- Ability to develop and run on Windows, mac OS and Linux.
- Open source.
- A lightweight, high-performance, and modular HTTP request pipeline.
